text playlist
My friend Luke introduced me to the idea of a text playlist.
Here’s mine, off the top of my head. If I were to make the same list another day, it’d be different, I’m sure.
Summer in the City by Rodney Clapp… on the joy of being alive and appreciating good music.
Eve Tushnet’s blog post on the spiritual benefits of “coming out.”
Under One Small Star by Wislawa Szymborska.
Francis Schaeffer’s “dare” — “open your home for community” — as mediated to me through my friends Margie and Denis, who not only talk about it but live it.
The blog post, but far more importantly the idea, of “the long defeat.”
I may update this post later, but these are the things that come immediately to mind.
